Blackwood Park Horse Stud was established in 2014 and our mission is simple. We aim to breed quality coloured horses with exceptional temperament and movement.

We have accumulated some of Australia's best warmblood mares and together with SOS our Oldenburg stallion quality is assured.

 

In our short time in the industry, we have already became know for our stock to have fantastic temperaments and a higher level of basic training making it easier and sometimes cheaper for when the time comes for the new owners to get them broken in. 

 

In 2023, we reduce our breeding program selling and leasing some of our stallions and broodmares. Whilst we still have a passion for breeding these beautiful horses, the industry has become very difficult to sell in. Bringing a foal into this world takes a lot of time, money, and resources and unfortunately, buyers in this climate have high expectations with OTT budgets.​

 

It's been rewarding while it lasted but we now look forward to breeding for our own enjoyment of future mounts for friends and family.​
